Final Speaking Workshop & Exam-Day Mindset

Core 60 min
Pathway

Lesson 10.5 closes the coursebook with a Speaking Parts 1–3 mini-mock, an exam-day mindset checklist and your personal review plan.

What you'll be able to do
  • Run a full Speaking mini-mock (Parts 1–3)
  • Apply an exam-day routine
  • Build a personal review plan for the final week
Speaking Task

Speaking · Mini-mock (11–14 minutes)

Full-length Speaking run-through
01
Part 1 (4–5 min)
Home town · Work or study · One familiar topic (weather / food / free time).
02
Part 2 (3–4 min)
Cue card: 'Describe a change you'd like to see in your community. You should say: what it is, why it matters, who would benefit, and how you'd start.'
03
Part 3 (4–5 min)
Wider discussion: local government responsibility, individual action vs system change, comparing your generation with previous ones.

Record the entire mini-mock end-to-end. Don't stop between parts — that's not how the real test flows.

Focus

Exam-day mindset checklist

  1. Sleep — the night before matters more than the week before.
  2. Arrive 30 minutes early. Take your ID and your booking confirmation.
  3. First 60 seconds of Listening = calm breathing, not panic.
  4. In Reading, skip and come back — never lose 5 minutes on one question.
  5. In Writing, always plan. Always leave 4 minutes to proofread.
  6. In Speaking, smile at Part 1. It genuinely helps you relax into fuller answers.

03
Days 7–8
Second full mock under strict timing. Compare to Days 1–3.
04
Day 9
Vocab / linker / signposting review. Light reading only.
05
Day 10
REST. Confirm ID, route, materials. Sleep.
You're ready

You've built the vocabulary, the grammar, the strategies, and — most importantly — the mindset. Trust the training. Good luck.
