Two familiar topics.

  • Topic A — Food: What kinds of food do you enjoy? Do you cook at home? Has your diet changed as you've got older?
  • Topic B — Weekends: How do you usually spend your weekends? Do you prefer relaxing or being active? Would you like to change how you spend them?
Part 2

Part 2 · Long turn

3–4 minutes

1 minute prep, 1–2 minute talk.

Cue card

Describe a place you have visited that you found impressive.

You should say:

  • where it is
  • when you went there
  • what you did there
  • and explain why you found it impressive.
Examiner follow-ups
  • Would you like to go back?
  • Would you recommend it to a friend?

4–5 minutes

  • Why do people enjoy travelling to new places?
  • How has tourism changed in your country in recent years?
  • What impact does tourism have on local communities?
  • Should governments limit visitor numbers at popular sites? Why?
