Part 1 · Interview

4–5 minutes

Two familiar topics.

  • Topic A — Where you live: Do you live in a house or a flat? What do you like about your neighbourhood? Would you like to move in the future?
  • Topic B — Free time: How do you usually spend your free time? Have your hobbies changed recently? Do you have as much free time as you would like?
Part 2

Part 2 · Long turn

3–4 minutes

1 minute prep, 1–2 minute talk.

Cue card

Describe a time when you helped someone.

You should say:

  • who you helped
  • what the situation was
  • what you did
  • and explain how you felt afterwards.
Examiner follow-ups
  • Have you kept in contact with the person?
  • Would you do the same thing again?

4–5 minutes

  • Are people in your country generally willing to help strangers?
  • How can schools encourage children to help others?
